The Sitka Tribe of Alaska is a federally acknowledged sovereign government that houses not less than four thousand Alaska Natives who are settled in the areas in that of Sitka in the United States state of Alaska. The tribal government, the by laws and its constitution were likewise created under the Indian Reorganization Act of 1934. The Alaska Natives who are somewhat included in the Sitka Tribe of Alaska include those of the indigenous people of the Americas. These people are those that are the Native Americans from the State of Alaska. They include the Inupiat, the Yupik, the Aleut and some other Native Americans such as the Tlignit, the Haida, the Tsimshian, the Eyak as well as some of the Northern Athabaskan people. The Inupiat people are those who came from the people of Alaska's Northwest Arctic and those of the North Slope boroughs as well as some people coming from the Bering Straits region. The people's language is known as the Inupiat. These people are known to have relied mainly on hunting and fishing for their living. They also did whaling so as to support their living. Next is the Yupik, also part of the Sitka Tribe. These people spend their spring and summer on the fish camps, before joining the harvest for salmon and seal. The people are good hunters. They are the descendants of the western, southwester, and south central people of Alaska and a mixture of Russian from the Far East. The people are divided into those coming from the Central Alaskan Yup'ik of the Yukon-Kuskokwim delta from the Kuskokwim River at that of the Alutiiq hailing from the Alaska Peninsula. The Aleuts, on the other hand, are the indigenous people hailing from the Aleutian Islands of Alaska, United States and in portions of Kamchatka Krai, Russia. They are settled along the Aleutian Islands, the Pribilof Islands and the Shumagin Islands and in some parts of the Alaska Peninsula. These people were the ones who were deported from the Aleutian Islands to the Commander Islands which is now part of the Kamchatka Krai. The Native Americans are composed of the people coming from the regions of America which includes a relatively large potion of the State of Alaska. There have been many successful people who have come from this part of the United States. The Native Americans are known for their distinct color, language and colorful traditions. Aside from these people, the Sitka Tribe of Alaska is likewise composed of the Tlingit people. The Tlingit people are those people whose name literally means "people". These people are considered hunter-gatherers who are used to the temperate rainforest of the southeast Alaska. The Sitka Tribe of Alaska today credits its economic success from the enterprises of the rest of the tribal members. The tribe's enterprises include gaming and non-gaming ventures as well as tourism.
